This just in! Bigg Boss is all set to return with its fourteenth season and is expected to go on air in October. According to media reports, the preps for Bigg Boss 14 have already begun and we’re as excited as you are.
Months after coming out of the house, the season 13 contestants have still managed to stay in the limelight as their fans just can’t stop showering their love on them. And now, we already have a new season to look forward to. Now, there has been a lot of buzz around Bigg Boss 14, and here’s all we till now. So shall we dig into the drama?

Tentative List Of Contestants On Bigg Boss 14
First things first! The host Salman Khan aka bhai of Bollywood is NOT quitting the show. C’mon guys did you actually believe this rumour? Perhaps, we should tell the makers to find another attention-grabbing tactic because no, sir no, we don’t get fooled by this gossip anymore. So is bhai getting fee hike? Oh yes, of course (‘ coz pandemic or not, no salary cuts for bhai).
Speculations are rife that this season will have 16 contestants in total – 13 celebrities and thee commoners (uff..again this format! oh, cost-cutting maybe). Aa couple of celebs have already been approached for the show and here are their names:
1. Adhyayan Suman
Shekhar Suman’s son Adhyayan recently grabbed headlines after the father-son duo started a campaign for late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. He was reportedly approached by the makers but no official announcement has been made as yet.
2. Nia Sharma
Nia, who has worked in several successful TV serials including Naagin 4, Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel, is also expected to be seen on season 14. Well, we sure are excited to see her sense of style on the show.
3. Vivian Dsena
Known for his work in popular shows like Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki and Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, Vivian is a household name already. He has already been a part of few reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 and the seventh season of Khatron Ke Khiladi. And now, we might see him on the upcoming season of Bigg Boss.

4. Jasmin Bhasin
Yes, we may see Jasmin Bhasin from the Naagin clan on the new season of Bigg Boss. Well, the other contestants might have to up their strategy-aking skills because Jasmin is already friends with former BB contestant Sidharth Shukla.
5. Akanksha Puri
Bigg Boss 13 fame Paras Chhabra’s ex-girlfriend Akanksha is also rumoured to be a part of the show. However, talking about her appearance in Bigg Boss 14 in an interview earlier, she had said that she wasn’t sure if the show would happen because of the pandemic.
6. Aarushi Dutta
Reportedly, Splitsvilla and Roadies fame Aarushi Dutta has also been approached for the show. Coming with some experience in reality shows, she may prove to be a stronger contestant.
7. Sahil Khan
During one of his Instagram chat sessions with his fans, Style actor Sahil Khan revealed that he was recently approached for the reality show. Sahil told his fans about getting offers from other shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as well, saying that he isn’t capable of doing such shows.
8. Mansi Srivastava
The Ishqbaaaz actress Mansi recently revealed that she was approached for the show a few times but she didn’t “dare sign the show”. Mansi further said that she might agree to be a part of the show now.
9. Aanchal Khurana
The winner of Mujhse Shaadi Karoge and Roadies season 8 has also been approached for Bigg Boss 14.
Besides these actors, there are speculations that Saugandh actress Shanthipriya, Ishq Mein Marjawan actress Alisha Panwar and Karan Kundra have also been approached for the forthcoming season. As for the commoners, the auditions started in May. However, makers are yet to make an official statement about the show.
The Jungle Theme
Just like every season, Bigg Boss 14 is all set to have a new theme. Reports suggest that the makers of the show have planned a ‘jungle’ theme. It looks like, makers are planning to cut down costs by toning down the luxurious decor.
The ‘Lockdown’ Connection
Bigg Boss 14 will see a huge change in the format, and keeping in mind the pandemic situation, the show may have a ‘lockdown’ connection. The makers will make sure that social distancing norms are followed inside the house. There are reports that the season would be named Bigg Boss 14 Lockdown edition. How apt, right?
As per the new set of rules, the housemates will have their phones to connect to the outside world. They can also be seen using electronic gadgets to make vlogs or send video messages to their loved ones. This seems to be an interesting and never-seen-before change in the history of Bigg Boss.
Reports also suggest that Salman along with the makers is already working on the promo of the show at his Panvel farmhouse. The shooting of the show will reportedly begin in September.
