A lot has been said and speculated about Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora’s wedding. There was also a report that ‘confirmed’ their wedding date. If rumours were to believed, the actors would have been happily married by now. But alas! Nothing of that sort happened. Arjun and Malaika’s wedding rumours circulating for over a year now and everyone has been waiting in anticipation for the BIG DAY.
Although the lovebirds never made their relationship official, their several public appearances together confirmed that the two are seeing each other. Malaika has often dissuaded all news related to her ‘upcoming’ wedding and Arjun ignored the matter altogether. That is, until now. In a recent interview, the actor finally spoke about his feelings for Malaika and his plan to get married to her.
Reacting to strong speculation about his wedding date, Arjun made it crystal clear that he is in absolutely no hurry to tie the knot anytime soon. It was previously confirmed that Arjun and Malaika are set to get married on April 19. Even the details of the ceremonies, from the wedding guest list to Malaika’s bachelorette party, were shared on some portals. However, when Arjun was point blank asked about his ‘supposed’ wedding, he said, “No, I am not. I’m 33 and you have to take my word when I say, I’m in no hurry to get married.”
Arjun Kapoor declared that if he would ever get married, everyone would know: “The subject of my wedding is not something that I would like to talk about. Frankly, if I was tying the knot, people would know about it. Today, nothing stays or needs to be hidden beyond a point.” He further clarified, “Speculation is harmless. But I admit, I don’t like to respond to it all the time. Also, it gets tiring for the people involved to constantly react. There has been so much gossip on this subject that even the people who earlier tended to believe it are no longer doing so. I don’t have anything against anyone.”
Arjun did confirm that Malaika is ‘special’ to him but refused to talk more about his personal life. He said, “What the world is seeing, they are seeing. However, I have no desire to justify my personal life beyond a point. It is important to have good people around me and I feel fortunate that I have such individuals in my life.”
The rumours of Malaika and Arjun’s wedding started spreading like wildfire ever since they were snapped at a fashion event last year. People assumed that they were together when the lovebirds were photographed holding hands in Milan. But the Arjun and Malaika have always kept their dating life under wraps. However, we were secretly hoping that they would surprise us with their wedding news just like #Virushka. Guess that’s not happening anytime soon now! *sigh*
