A few weeks ago Tara Sutaria made her first appearance on Koffee With Karan, along with fellow co-stars Ananya Panday and Tiger Shroff. Apart from promoting their upcoming film, Student Of The Year 2, the actors got candid about their personal lives. During the conversation, Tiger Shroff dropped a not-so-subtle hint that there may be some truth to the rumours about Tara dating Sidharth Malhotra, who also featured in the first film of the SOTY franchise. Since then, rumours have been rife that something is brewing between KJo’s current student Tara and ex-student Sidharth. Well, this show should just be renamed ‘Karan Johar Ne Bana Di Jodi’. Lol!
Did you know that Tara Sutaria and Sidharth Malhotra are also neighbours? In a recent interview, Tara was caught off-guard when she was directly asked if she was dating Sidharth. She maintained that she is not ‘dating’ Sidharth but admitted that she believes in ‘loving thy neighbour’: “No we are not dating each other. He’s my padosi and love thy neighbour for sure I mean why not? But well, we are just great friends.”
Even though Tara denied being in a relationship with the Ek Villain actor, the grapevine still continues to buzz with rumours. An undisclosed source informed a media portal that Tara Sutaria and Sidharth Malhotra had been spotted at Worli’s Atria Mall for a movie date. And several celeb jodis have denied being in a relationship numerous times in the past but confirmed it later in the future. Could this be something of the similar sorts? We sincerely hope so! *wink*
Tara and Sidharth will also be seen romancing each other in Milap Zaveri’s upcoming film Marjaavaan. During the interview when Ananya Panday and Tiger Shroff kept on pulling Tara’s leg, she blushed and said, “We talk often… we talk about our film… I also got my second film with him. Of course, we also talk about other things too… It’s the whole padosi pyaar kind of a lovely chat.” When the interviewer asked if there was any chemistry between Tara and Sidharth while they were shooting their upcoming film, Tara said, “Fireworks toh hain!”
Now we don’t know what to make of this! Would the kindling romance between the ‘said’ couple evolve into a serious relationship? Well, only time will tell. Till then, we’ll just have fun shipping this cool ‘student jodi’.
On the work front, Sidharth and Tara have started shooting for Marjaavaan. The movie, which also features Riteish Deshmukh and Rakul Preet in lead roles, will release on October 2 this year. Tara is also busy promoting Student Of The Year 2, which is slated for release on May 10.
