Hina Khan’s Komolika has reached the end of her reign on Ekta Kapoor’s reboot of Kasautii Zindagii Kay. The actress had a farewell party on her last day on the set, and the lead pair Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan (Prerna and Anurag) bid her adieu with the rest of the cast. Rumours of friction between Erica and Hina seem like ancient history now as the two can be seen having a blast together in these videos.

Other members of the cast including Shubhavi Choksey and Uday Tikekar, who play Anurag Basu’s parents, were also present at the farewell party.
Post the cake cutting with the cast and crew, Hina had a night out with her friends from Kasautii. She posted pictures with Erica Fernandes, Parth Samthaan, Pooja Banerjee and Sahil Anand, her co-stars from the show who surprised her with this farewell party.

Hina Khan played the most prominent negative character (ever!) on the show, but she has decided to (temporarily) say bye to Komolika to pursue a career in Bollywood. She will walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, where the first look of her film, Lines will be launched. “It’s a huge honour. I have been following the Cannes Film Festival as a fan for years. Not only because of the red carpet but more so because Cannes is the ground for some of the most path-breaking international content. Makers from across the world come and present their work and you have some of the best of creative minds meeting all in one place. I am grateful to have the opportunity to not only be present amongst the best of creative minds but also to be sharing my thoughts on cinema, my upcoming film, and the journey so far with them,” the actress said in a public statement.
For Hina’s grand exit, Komolika will stage her own death and Anurag will go to trial for her murder. Another plot twist in Kasautii Zindagii Kay will come with the arrival of another iconic character, Mr Bajaj. The hero-villain will be played by Karan Wahi, the actor who started his career with Remix and shot to fame with Dill Mill Gayye.
The future looks dramatic for Kasautii characters and their fans, indeed.
