Bollywood celebs have been urging citizens of the country to step out and vote for this year’s Lok Sabha elections. There are many A-listers who cannot cast their vote because they don’t hold Indian citizenship, but this hasn’t stopped them from spreading the word and encouraging people to vote.
One such celeb, who was reported to not have an Indian passport, is Deepika Padukone. However, the Padmaavat actress recently cleared the air. She was born in Denmark and hence, was reported to have a Danish passport. The Padmaavat actress has rubbished these rumours, “I have an Indian passport. There are a lot of complications but I’m a proud Indian citizen.”
She took to her Twitter feed to share a picture of her inked finger after she cast her vote.
