They say when you know, you just know and as far as we know it’s the truth. There are some things that just make you go, ‘this is it’ and for us fashion girls, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh are IT. We’ve seen Ranveer and Alia together in the MakeMyTrip ads and now are dying to watch them together in Gully Boy… why? They have captivating chemistry on-screen and their fashion games do wonders too, off-screen.
Gully Boy promotions have been a treat ever since they started earlier this month. From the statement outfits at the trailer launch to their OTT looks, which Ranveer and Alia nailed at the music launch, their sartorial sensibilities seem to just… fit.

The ‘Gully gang’ did it again in an Instagram post last night, captioned “Luls & Tuts”. The inside joke suggests that Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are definitely buddies off-screen, doesn’t it? We know what the joke is about though and if you’ve taken a good look at them, you know those outfits are NO joke. So, Lulu and Tutu are Alia and Ranveer’s nicknames for each other, as coined by Gully Boy director Zoya Akhtar. Cute, right?
Now, we know they’re buddies but they also LOOK so good together – and their outfits are a testament to our belief.
Dressed in party-casuals for another Gully Boy promotional event, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh are a visual treat in black, white and red. Here’s a breakdown of each look:

Alia threw on a magnified polka-dot print top with a short, bishop sleeve and paired it with a cool pair of black jeans with ripped detail at the knee. The Bollywood star picked a pair of oversized metallic hoops, which bring out the big round spots on her Madison On Peddar top too, don’t they?

Topping her OOTD off with peep-toed, ankle-length black leather boots, Alia Bhatt came through with flying colours.
Our Baba on the other hand, and as always, pumped a whole lot of colour into his sporty ensemble. Not just colour, but THE colour – a flaming red, which looks incredible against Alia Bhatt’s black and white polka dots, doesn’t it?

Ranveer Singh chose a red coord Adidas Originals sports suit with bold white stripe panels down the sides on both his jacket and his joggers. The Simmba star paired his look with white sneakers and once again, his trademark yellow-tint, black-rimmed retro sunglasses. His dishevelled hair and striking handlebar moustache made a statement of their own, which is what we love so much about Ranveer.
Now, don’t these two make a fashionable pair? Let’s hope they create the same magic on screen with Gully Boy… Guess we’ll know on February 14!
