The year of 2019 began on an incredible note. Bollywood saw its first blockbuster of the year with URI. Next in line (or so we hope) is one of the biggest and most anticipated movies of the year – Karan Johar’s period-drama Kalank. Directed by Abhishek Varman, the movie has a great line-up of actors with Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhavan, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Kunal Khemu, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles. If just the star cast is this amazing, we can only imagine how the movie would be!

The film’s release date is April 19, 2019 with its trailer yet to be released. As soon as the cast wrapped up the shoot, the social media was flooded with heartwarming posts for co-stars, directors and the crew.

Alia and Varun even shared a picture of their 1940s look from the film. They praised each other for their impeccable performances. This is their fourth film together. The duo has been creating magic on the big screen since their debut movie, Student Of The Year.

Later, a few clips from their shoot were leaked online and they went viral. In one of them, Alia Bhatt is dressed up as a beautiful bride in a traditional, red lehenga with silver jewellery and gold kaleeras. Can we also consider it a sign? *wink*

In the second leak, Alia is again spotted, but this time, amid a troupe of other female dancers. She is wearing a brown lehenga paired with a red dupatta, and with long wavy hair, can be seen dancing, in what we may perceive, a traditional Rajasthani style to the song that is supposedly from the film.
