2020 is almost over (whaaaaattt) but the end of the year always means parties, fun, and enjoyment. This year has been different from all the others and so even the holiday season will be slightly strange. There won’t be as many soirées and those that will happen will also have a lesser crowd. Well, it’s for your own good and safety.
Even though this is all true, it doesn’t mean you can’t dress up in your fanciest outfits and have a great time. You can finally put all that mindless shopping you’ve done through the year to good use by wearing your fav dress and put on a full face of makeup. Alaya F just shared a picture doing the same and you can totes copy her.
Dressed in a gold outfit, Alaya knows how to make people stop and stare. We also love how she’s paired this OTT ensemble with muted, everyday glam makeup. If you wanna recreate the same look, keep on reading.
Here’s How You Can Easily Recreate Alaya’s Alluring Makeup Look
Step One: Prep The Skin
When you’re getting ready for a party and want your makeup to stay on then prepping your skin well is important. Use a glow-enhancing cream and massage it into your skin well. The skin tends to look dry and patchy in the winter so this will help your base glide on. Then you can apply a pore-minimising or mattifying primer to the areas you don’t want to look shiny like on your T-zone, chin, and around your mouth.
Step Two: Mesmerising Eyes
For the eyes, we love Alaya’s blush pink glitter look which is just enough for the party season while not being too jarring. Apply eyelid primer and set it in its place and then start blending a nude pink shadow in your crease. Go in with a deeper pink colour and start blending it from the outer corner of your eyes. Appy pink glitter eyeshadow to the inner half of your eye and then smoke out the upper lashline using brown eyeshadow. Put on coats of mascara, fill in your brows and you can move onto the base.
Step Three: Blend In The Base
Apply foundation on your face and blend it in using a damp beauty sponge and then put a lighter concealer wherever you need to brighten the skin i.e. the bridge of your nose, the under-eye area, and your forehead. Set everything in place using a translucent powder and use a matte bronzer in the hollows of your cheeks, jawline, and near the hairline to create some depth. Apply a tiny amount of a neutral coloured blush to add a slight flush of colour. You can also add highlighter to the tops of your cheeks, brow bone and inner corner of the eyes to make ’em pop!
Step Four: Finally, The Lips
When you want your lipstick to last longer, always start with lining your lips with a lipliner and then go in with lipstick. Here, Alaya has used a pink satin matte shade and you can do the same!
Holi-yay ready!
