Ambanis are undoutedly the kings of throwing grand parties and we’ve witnessed this multiple times including Isha Ambani’s larger than life wedding. So, we don’t expect them to hold back now that their son Akash Ambani is getting married to diamantaire Russel Mehta’s daughter Shloka Mehta on March 9. The wedding festivities have already begun as they hosted a dandiya night at their residence Antilla last week. Now, the whole family is in St. Moritz, Switzerland for two-day pre-wedding festivities of the couple.
According to reports, St. Moritz will host the who’s who of the Bollywood and business world to celebrate the coming together of Ambani and Mehta families. Keeping in line with Isha Ambani’s wedding list, the guest list is said to include celebrities like Karan Johar and Ranbir Kapoor who are extremely close to the groom-to-be. Even Priyanka Chopra is expected to fly down for the festivities.
The family is going to be staying in the most expensive resort of St. Moritz – Badrutt Palace. The luxury hotel overlooks the Alps on one side and Lake Saint Mortiz on the other. You won’t believe the costs of the rooms at the resort. The lowest grade room will cost about Rs 98,500 while the most expensive room costs about Rs 3,09,000 for this weekend and the whole hotel has been booked for the Ambanis and their guests.
The theme of the festivities on Sunday, February 24th is ‘Winter Wonderland’ and will fair with rides including Ferris Wheel, Bumper Car, a spiral slide and a carousel. There is also a Peter Pan Ice Show expected which will be followed by a never-seen-before drone show. The carnival is expected to continue on Monday after which the wedding party will head back home to Mumbai where the Ambanis will host a three-day wedding party.
Honestly, we can’t wait to see what the Ambanis have in store for us. Whatever it is, it will be more than we could ever imagine.
