There’s so much more to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan than her grace and great looks. Apart from being one of the most striking faces in the world (and Miss World 1994), she was a frontrunner in Hollywood. We may not see her much on the big screen, but, her style made it big at Festival de Cannes.
ARB is one multitalented person who can act, sing, dance and charm her fans (including us). But, did you know another hidden talent of hers? Well, she’s a pro at dubbing! The former Miss World will be lending her voice to Angelina Jolie’s character in the Hindi version of the Disney film, Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil. She even shared a short teaser of the movie on the ‘Gram. She captioned it as, “Maleficent. Happy to be part of the Disney Family.” Take a look!
Doesn’t she look like a work of art in that all-black ensemble? She also does look a lot like Angelina Jolie in that double French roll hairstyle. After all, her hair was styled by Florian Hurel (her hairstyle to look amazing!) He shared Aish’s picture on Instagram and wrote, ‘Worked a revisited double French role for the promo of The Maleficent by Disney @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb .@mickeycontractor @falgunipeacock’
Even Aishwarya and Angelina’s makeup look is similar! Apart from Angelina’s heavy contoured jawline, every bit of her makeup look matches Aishwarya’s. Defined brows, a red pout, mascara-coated lashes and that gorgeous black smokey eye makeup – she fits the part like a puzzle piece. No wonder she was chosen by Disney India to play the part anyway! Treat your eyes, ladies!
Disney India Head, Bikram Duggal, also spoke about why Aishwarya was chosen for the Hindi version of the film. He said, “Looking at how Angelina Jolie fits Maleficent’s role down to the letter, it was hard to imagine anyone else essaying the character other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for our local audience. We wanted to bring her character to life in Hindi and felt Aishwarya’s persona, which is filled with elegance and poise, would be a perfect blend.”
Just in case you missed it, you should know that the film Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil is slated to release across India on October 18 in English and Hindi.
In other news, Aishwarya Rai was last spotted in Paris a couple of days ago. She gathered together with her L’Oréal Paris family for a runway show, Le Défilé. Celebs who walked the ramp alongside Aishwarya were Eva Longoria Baston, Amber Heard and Camila Cabello. She was spotted wearing a floral asymmetrical gown with a ruffled hemline and fuzzy fringed shoes. We’re not sure about her look in Paris, but this one from the teaser is gold!
