After The Trailer, Netizens Dislike ‘Sadak 2’ Song Over A Million Times On YouTube

The Mahesh Bhatt directorial Sadak 2 has been in the midst of controversies ever since its first look came out. And once the trailer was dropped on YouTube, things got even nastier. Amid the nepotism debate, angry fans of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput decided to channel all their energy into making it the most disliked video on the video-sharing platform. And guess what!? The trailer is now the second most disliked video on YouTube.

Within a week of its release, the Alia Bhatt-starrer got over 11.67 million downvotes and has beaten Justin Beiber’s Baby with 11.63 million dislikes, which held the spot for nearly a decade.

SSR’s furious fans didn’t stop there. With a mission to destroy nepotism in the industry, they are doing everything they can to sabotage Sadak 2. The makers of the film released a new song from the film–Tum Se Hi–on August 15 and the internet is hell-bent on making another record of dislikes for the song.

Composed by Ankit Tiwari, the song portrays the proclaimed love between the two characters, Alia and Aditya Roy Kapur. This song about love soon turned into a display of hate when Sushant’s ‘fans’ thronged the comment section on YouTube, criticising the ‘nepo kids’ and downvoting the video.

As of now, over 20 million people have watched the song, out of which 1 million have disliked it and the number of likes stands at 245K.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic demise triggered a debate on nepotism and favouritism in the entertainment industry and his fans have been blaming elites from the industry for driving him to take such a drastic step.

The film, which is a sequel to the 1991 blockbuster Sadak, also stars Sanjay Dutt and Makarand Deshpande while Pooja Bhatt will be playing a cameo. The movie is all set to release on Disney+ Hostar on August 28.
