In conversation with Dax Shepard on his podcast, Armchair Expert, PC shared how she was being pushed into a corner and had beef with people.
While fans were appreciating her for speaking her truth, another snippet from the interview ruffled some feathers. Here’s why:
During their conversation, Dax Shepard compared Bollywood to Hollywood and said how both are controlled by a few stars and big studios. PC agreed and said, “I don’t think you are far from it. I think that was what it was. Big studios, five actors, and big movies will be made by them; but the game is changed so much now. First of all, it’s streaming. It has given access to so many people who are making content.”
Adding on to this, Priyanka continued and said, “Bollywood has evolved in such an incredible way. You have the mainstream big action and the love story and the dancing.” Dax interrupted and said “RRR”. PC quickly replied, “That’s a Tamil movie by the way… It’s like big, mega, blockbuster Tamil which does all of those. It’s like our Avengers.“

Wow, this is a lot of confidence for someone something absolutely incorrect!
However, RRR is a Telugu film directed by SS Rajamouli. And PC calling RRR a Tamil film instead of Telugu isn’t sitting well with many. Netizens are trolling the actress and calling her out for her ‘lack of knowledge’. Here take a look:
