Sharvari Wagh, who will be seen as the new Babli, has posed in a stunning metallic bikini in the movie that is reminding us of PC. While talking about it during an interview with a leading daily, she said, “I was the happiest person on set the day I shot this scene. Growing up, the image of Priyanka Chopra walking out of the sea in her golden bikini in Dostana was etched in my mind.”
The trailer of the film looks hella exciting and we’re especially thrilled to watch Sharvari’s performance as it looks quite promising. The actress has been creating quite a buzz among her fans and in B-town ATM, and here’s everything you need to know about her:
All-In-All A Mumbai Girl!
Sharvari is the granddaughter of the former CM of the state, Manohar Joshi. Born and raised in Maharashtra, she completed her schooling from Mumbai’s The Dadar Parsee Youths Assembly High School and graduated from Mumbai’s Ruparel College.
Modelling From A Young Age
Her penchant for modelling began quite early and she kickstarted her career at the age of 16. She won a beauty contest in 2013 and later starred in several television commercials. She also pursued a nine-month acting course from Jeff Goldberg’s Studio.
Musician At Heart
Apart from modelling and acting, Sharvari also has a flair for music. During an interview with a media daily, she said, “I’d sit in my room and play old cassettes, and then on CDs and soon on my MP3 player. I always used to have some kind of music on me and used to listen to it when sitting idle. So, when I was 10 years old, my mom enrolled me in a keyboard class and I haven’t since stopped learning the keyboard.” She has learned piano for almost nine years and considers the keyboard an integral part of her life.
Not New In Bollywood
While the actress is marking her debut in Bollywood with Bunty Aur Babli 2, she’s not really new to the industry. She has worked as an assistant director in the movies, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Bajirao Mastani and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Also, she made her debut in the entertainment industry in 2020 with the web series, The Forgotten Army – Azaadi Ke Liye, which released on Amazon Prime.
Dating-Shating!
Sharvari is apparently dating actor Sunny Kaushal. They starred opposite each other in their web series, The Forgotten Army – Azaadi Ke Liye and as per the grapevine, that’s where their love story began. The two were spotted together at the screening of the actor’s recent movie, Shiddat. While they have not confirmed the rumours, we have to say that Sunny and Sharvari look really cute together!
The actress has worked quite hard and auditioned for almost five years before bagging the leading role in Bunty Aur Babli 2 that’s releasing on November 19. While she will be seen opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi, Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji will also be a part of the film.
