Disha Parmar and Rahul Vaidya’s highly-anticipated shaddi is finally happening and we think we might burst from all the excitement! The wedding festivities kicked off yesterday evening with Disha’s mehendi soiree and the pictures of the event are beyond what we imagined. The party was attended by Disha’s close friends and family and the dulha-to-be also dropped by for some time. We loved everything about the function—the decor, the impromptu song performance by Rahul, and of course the couple’s outfits. Don’t you think the two looked stunning together in their coordinated looks? We always enjoy a good celebrity twin moment, but this is hands-down our fave one so far. We’re definitely not getting over Disha’s magenta pink and sorbet green sharara suit and Rahul’s sorbet green kurta set anytime soon!
And while we were still not done gushing over their pictures, we got to know some major info about their wedding outfits and event. A little birdie told us that Rahul will be wearing a creation by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla for his special function. And as for their wedding venue, after considering both St. Regis Mumbai and Grand Hyatt Mumbai, Rahul, and Disha eventually settled on the impressive ballroom of Grand Hyatt.
That’s not all, we also know all about the theme of their wedding party and it is—drumrolls— ‘Red Carpet’. We’re already imagining how elegant the decor and styling will be! And because every wedding needs a fantastic photographer, Rahul and Disha’s two-day celebration would be captured by Megha and Luv Israni of Israni Photography.
As for the guest list, the couple has been quite vocal about wanting an intimate wedding. In a previous interview, Rahul had said, “Disha and I have always been in favour of a close-knit wedding. We want our loved ones to attend our big day and bless us. The marriage will be held according to the Vedic rituals and we will also have Gurbani Shabad sung at the ceremony.” In the same interview, Disha said, “Marriage is a union of two people and their respective families with their dear ones in attendance. I have always wished for a simple ceremony and I am glad that’s exactly what we are going ahead with,” she said. We totally agree!
Well, we can’t help but wonder which designer Disha will be wearing for her special day. Will the bride-to-be stick to the classics or surprise us with something else? What do you think, fam?
