Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif have had our undivided attention for months now. We’re hooked to their mushy pics on the ‘gram and have been keeping an eye out for an update on their pehli film together. Remember when we told you guys last month that they’d been looking at scripts and had finally found the right one? Well, we have more to share about their first movie. No, Vicky and Katrina haven’t commented on it, but there’s a fresh new rumour doing the rounds on social media. And fam, it’s way too exciting!
In August last year, Farhan Akhtar surprised us with the announcement of his upcoming film, Jee Le Zaraa. The plot is based on an all-girls road trip. We already know that Katrina, Priyanka Chopra, and Alia Bhatt have been roped in to play the leads. And now, the latest buzz is that Vicky will join the star cast of the movie and will star opposite Katrina.
Apparently, the makers have approached him to be a part of the film. “The decision of approaching Vicky to feature in the film is pure gold. Now add to that the plan is to cast him opposite Katrina, which will make Jee Le Zaraa the first film the couple feature in together. This in itself is a marketing dream and makes promoting a film that much easier,” revealed a source close to the development.
A little birdie also tells us that the makers were finding it difficult to rope in three male leads which is why Farhan decided to join the star cast. The same source further added, “With Farhan Akhtar casting himself and now Vicky also being roped in that leaves just one male lead role vacant. And casting one person is far easier than three, and that too in a film that is based on three female leads.”
NGL, this is the best thing we’ve heard all week. Watching Katrina, Priyanka, Alia, Farhan, and Vicky in one movie is going to be a dream come true. Here’s hoping the rumours are true, and the makers share an official announcement ASAP ‘coz we cannot wait.
