When asked about the five makeup products that every girl should have in their bag, Bauer replied with his top favourites. He says “concealer, mascara, blush, mattifying powder and lipstick.

The Most Common Makeup Mistake
According to Bauer, not prepping your skin before makeup is the biggest and most common mistake people make. “Skin prep is very important,” says Bauer, and when done correctly “it makes makeup last longer and it goes on smoother as well.”

Makeup Trends That Should Never Come Back
To the question of which makeup trends should never be back in style, Bauer expressed his disdain for ‘overlined lips’ and bold ’80s makeup trends. He said that wearing too many different colours on the face like pink blush, blue eyes and bold lips are just too overpowering.
The pro tip to keep in mind when experimenting with makeup is to play up only one feature such as the eyes or lips and keep the rest of the makeup muted.

A Celeb’s Secret Makeup Trick
Bauer revealed that Priyanka Chopra shared a eyebrow grooming trick with him and he always uses it. The trick is for people with wiry brows that are difficult to fill in. Use a spoolie brush to brush up and hold the brows in place. Keep the spoolie on the brows and then use an eyebrow product to fill in the gaps and define the brow line. This gives the most natural look.
I am definitely going to try that hack because my brows are bushy and hard to tame. I’m going to use Priyanka’s favourite brow product which is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze to get the job done.
Makeup Trends For Summer
For the summer, Bauer said the best makeup trend is essentially “owning your look.” He goes on to explain that if you are someone who likes eyeliner go extreme with it, opt for dramatic eyeliner styles. If you like colours go all out. Own the look. It’s your personality that needs to come through and that’s what you should showcase in your makeup.
