On December 11, 2017, the cricketer-actress jodi tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in Italy and left everyone surprised. And TBH, nothing much has changed about this couple since then.
Even though they are still secretive about certain aspects of their lives, they aren’t as secretive about their adoration for each other as they were when they first started dating. Their Instagram feeds are always full of mushy pictures which leave us drooling for more every time. Yes, they come from different backgrounds — while she works on a chaotic set, he operates on a clean pitch — but their chemistry has always been on-point.

Jab They Met & The Friendship Blossomed!
For those who don’t know, Virat and Anushka met for the first time while shooting a shampoo commercial back in 2013. The cricketer, in several interviews, has admitted that he was very nervous while meeting the actress as it was his first shoot ever. He cracked a silly joke which made him even more jittery. However, the two eventually became friends.

Soon, rumours about them dating started doing the rounds. In 2014, Virat blew a kiss to his ladylove during a match in Sri Lanka which only added more fuel to the fire.
The First Public Appearance
In 2015, their relationship came to light when Virat took to Twitter to praise his ‘ladylove’ Anushka’s first outing as a producer with NH10.
It was later in July the same year that the couple made their first public appearance together at the Vogue Beauty Awards.
A Bit Of A Rough Patch
In 2016, it looked like the two had officially called it quits as the public appearances grew sparse. They even unfollowed each other on Instagram for a little while. But with Virat standing up for Anushka after his fans trolled her for his bad performance during the World Cup semi-final in March, everything seemed okay. And by November, they were in the public eye again. The two even attended Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech’s wedding in Goa and rang in the New Year in Dehradun together.
2017: The Year Of The Big, Fat Wedding
After dating for almost four years, the couple finally got hitched in a secretive wedding ceremony at a beautiful Tuscan villa. It was attended only by the close friends and family members of the bride and the groom. Needless to say, their reveal sent the whole nation in a frenzy!
Later, the couple revealed that they managed to keep it a secret as they used different names for all their bookings. The power couple kicked off their wedding celebrations by exchanging rings, followed by a mehendi ceremony the next day and then came their wedding day that left everyone awestruck.
They also hosted two grand receptions — one in Delhi for their families and the other one in Mumbai for their industry friends.
