Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal kickstarted their wedding festivities with a dhamakedaar sangeet last night, and we hear that it was beyond amazing! Apparently, Vicky and Katrina performed to a romantic number from Singh Is Kinng and the Raazi actor even surprised his ladylove with a special performance! A little birdie also tells us that Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan and musical trio Shankar-Ehsan-Loy performed at their sangeet. Intimate Get-Together
Before the couple’s sangeet celebration, Vicky’s mother had reportedly arranged an intimate ladies-only sangeet function. Apparently, the actor’s mum wanted to ensure that Katrina and her family from London got to experience Punjabi wedding traditions which is why she planned the get-together for them. “Veena ji is very fond of Katrina. And while there was a big Sangeet night planned in the evening, she wanted to do something more intimate and special and so she organized a small ladies sangeet ceremony just like the typical traditional Punjabi style,” revealed a source close to the couple. The source added that the women sang and danced on Punjabi folk songs, and the bride-to-be was dancing on dholki beats throughout the function.
Mehendi Party
We’ve already told you guys that Katrina and Vicky’s mehendi function will happen today. The latest buzz is that both the families are going to celebrate it together. An insider revealed, “Our groom, Vicky, comes from a loving Punjabi family. Hence, all his uncles, aunts, siblings, cousins and other relatives are excited about having a great time together. On the other hand, bride Katrina’s family, including her mom, sisters and brother and some close friends will be part of the joint celebration,” This sounds perfect, no?
