Varun Sood recently made headlines after his ex-girlfriend, Divya Agarwal announced her engagement. Fans were concerned if Varun had been dealing with the breakup well. Turns out, we’ve got nothing to worry about as he is all set to soar. The reality TV star has been attempting to pave his way into Bollywood for some time now and he is finally ready to get his big break with Dharma Productions. After a brief role in Dharma’s Jugg Jugg Jeeyo, the actor will be romancing a Bollywood actress in a unique project by the production house!
Varun will be starring in a long-format series titled Call Me Bae opposite Ananya Panday as the lead. A little birdie has told us that the starlet is going to be romancing not one but four different men in the series. Varun is going to be one of them.
A source shared, “Varun plays a gym trainer in the series. This is supposed to be Varun’s big-ticket project. Several actors auditioned for this part, however, it was Varun who landed this character. He will soon sign the dotted line.” They also revealed that Varun is the first of the four men to be finalised and the search for the other guys is still on.
Neelam Kothari was also approached to play the role of Ananya’s mother in the series. As per reports, she declined the part. The source added, “She didn’t say it in many words that she doesn’t want to play a mother, but we all are assuming that is the reason. We are currently looking for other actors.”
Neelam, on the other hand, has a different explanation. She shared, “Things are at a very preliminary stage. I’ve not even read the script yet. All I know is that I’ve been offered to play Ananya’s mother. So I’ve not accepted it or denied it yet. It would be amazing to work with Karan again and play Ananya’s mom.” For the unversed, Neelam is extremely close to Ananya’s mom, Bhavana Panday.
While we’d love to see Neelam in the show as Ananya’s mum, we’re even more excited to see Varun and what he has to offer. This series is going to be one hell of a watch! What do you think?
