Yesterday, several important announcements were made at the Bigg Boss 15 launch event. It is going to be the longest-running BB season to date and will be based on the theme ‘jungle’. The names of the first five contestants of the reality show were also revealed and we have mixed feelings about it. BB OTT contestants Shamita Shetty, Nishant Bhat and Pratik Sehajpal will be seen in the upcoming season as well. The grapevine was abuzz that Divya Agarwal may enter the reality show, but later as a wild card contestant.
Well, it turns out that the actress will not be a part of the upcoming season and her boyfriend, Varun Sood, revealed so himself. He took to his social media handle recently and dismissed all the claims of Divya participating in the Salman Khan hosted show.
A fan recently tweeted that she wanted Divya to participate in Bigg Boss from the very beginning and not as a wild card contestant. She wrote, “Divya fans are feeling so helpless dat we can’t convey our msg to divya. We just want @Divyakitweet either come on BB from first day or try next year. I hope divya takes her decision wisely. She has winner qualities so she should enter from 1st day.”
Varun replied to the fan and wrote, “Why would she compete with people who she has already defeated???”
While that was a clear no, the reply did ruffle the feathers of a few netizens. Twitterati said that Divya didn’t defeat Pratik Sehajpal as he walked out of the game at his own will. They also pointed out that BB 15 will provide a larger platform for the actress to showcase her talent. Apart from this, some users also pointed out that Varun was being arrogant.
The actor replied and said that he was just stating the truth. He also added that he was approached by the makers of the show and he has turned them down. Well, it seems that both Divya and Varun are not going to be a part of Bigg Boss 15 for now and TBH, that’s a little disappointing.
While talking to a leading daily recently, the actress said that she might change her mind and participate in BB 15 if the makers approached her. She added that she would behave calmly in front of host Salman Khan as she’s scared of him. “I am always scared of those people who would control my mental balance and just make me doubt myself. I think Salman is very capable of making me go into that self-doubt mode but I will try my level best. This time, it will be a little calmer but I will not restrain what I want to say, even if it is Salman Khan, even if it was my father, even if it was my brother or anybody in front of me, I wouldn’t restrain myself.”
Well, it’s too soon to be sure about anything and we’re hoping that we get to see the calmer side of Divya in BB 15 soon.
