When are Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal tying the knot? Well, this is a question we all want an answer to. The rumours around their much-awaited wedding have intensified ever since the actor revealed on Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan last year that he might get married to his long-time girlfriend in 2020.
While there seems to be no end to the number of speculations doing the rounds, the latest one suggests that the couple is all set for a wedding this May. Before we get into the details of those rumours, let us tell you a little bit about their love story. Varun and Natasha were school friends and it was only when they reached their mid-twenties did they realise that they are ‘more than friends’. Speaking to a leading magazine recently, Natasha revealed, “I remember, we started dating just before I moved away. It was around then that, I think, we realised we were more than just good friends.”
Varun, in an interview, in 2019 stated how Natasha brings stability to his life. “She and I went to school together. So, she knows my parents since ages. She’s been attending functions with my parents before also but it wasn’t photographed then. She’s my rock, she’s my anchor. She’s the stabilising factor in my life. It’s pretty much like family.”

About a year ago, rumours of the two having got secretly engaged surfaced. According to various reports, the couple was believed to have exchanged rings in a hush-hush ceremony in 2018. Someone close to both of them was also reported saying, “It was an extremely private ceremony with only members of the family present on the occasion.”
August 2019 Rumour: Varun & Natasha To Have A Beach Wedding
According to several reports, Varun and Natasha have been planning their wedding since last year. Various reports of them having a big fat Bollywood style wedding at an exotic destination– either Bali and Phuket also surfaced. Their friends were reported telling media, “Varun and Natasha want a true-blue Punjabi wedding and the beach destination will add glamour to their dreamy nuptials. Once they pin the location, the families will soon start working on the logistics.”
Varun Clears The Air Around 2019 Wedding Rumours
A number of rumours around their wedding erupted in 2019. For a second, we almost bought this one where they were speculated to tie the knot by the end of 2019. However, Varun himself cleared the air–he said needs to find the right time to tie the knot. He shared, “It’s not going to happen this year. I’m not saying I won’t get married, but not this soon. If I’m doing all these movies, I need to find the right time for that.”
Grand Reception In Mumbai
The latest trend in Bollywood with couples who get married at a remote destination is to throw a lavish reception for their Mumbai friends in the City Of Dreams. Be it Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput or Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone– everyone’s been a part of this suit. Just like them, even Varun and Natasha were rumoured to throw a grand bash for their Bollywood friends and industry colleagues in the city.
Coming Soon: Wedding In 2020
This one’s our favourite rumour and the one which might just be true! Apparently, Varun and Natasha are planning to get married in May this year. According to various reports, it will be a grand summer wedding, spanning over a week, including all the shaadi functions like mehendi, sangeet and reception. The mega bash is expected to take place in Goa at a luxury hotel or beach resort, similar to the way his brother Rohit’s ceremonies were conducted.
On the work front, Varun’s movie Street Dancer 3D is all set for a release on January 24. He will be next seen in Coolie. Number 1 with Sara Ali Khan and then in Mr. Lele on January 2021. Natasha, on the other hand, is a fashion designer. She also has a clothing line, by the name Natasha Dalal Label.
Well, we hope this is the last rumour we hear and we do get to witness a May wedding of #Varsha.
