The recent Nita Mukesh Ambani Culture Centre(NMACC) gala, which took place in Mumbai, has got the world talking. Some of the biggest stars of our country and many International stars like Gigi Hadid, Zendaya, and Tom Holland, made their presence felt at the event.
From SRK dancing on Jhoome Jo Pathaan to Alia Bhatt’s performance on Natu Natu, videos from inside the NMACC gala have taken the internet by storm. However, one particular video of Varun Dhawan carrying and spinning Gigi Hadid around on the stage has got people talking. Here, take a look:
Varun Dhawan pulls Gigi onto the stage, lifts her, and spins her around. Towards the end, he plants a kiss on her cheek and puts her down. But looks like this stint didn’t sit well with netizens. Soon after this, they started to point out how this all is ‘very cringe‘ and ‘totally uncalled for.’ Here, take a look at some of the comments on Twitter.
Varun broke his silence on this whole incident. Replying to a woman’s (now deleted) tweet, Varun explained how this whole act was planned and part of his performance. Here’s what he said:
Well, judging by the video, it looks like Gigi was having the time of her life on the stage and didn’t mind Varun’s fun antics.
