There’s one thing about Umar Riaz that we really admire–he says things as they are. At least, that is what we have witnessed in Bigg Boss 15 and it’s safe to say, he has not given up on his no holds barred approach outside the house as well. Amid rumours of his BB re-entry, the doctor has finally opened up about his unceremonious eviction and let’s just say that shots have been fired.
In a recent interview with an online entertainment platform, Umar talked about everything that went wrong for him in Bigg Boss 15 while making some serious (but not surprising) allegations on the BB makers. Here is what he had to say:
On His Unfair Eviction
No one will ever forget how the viewers were made to choose if Umar deserved to stay in the house in a first-of-its-kind voteout. We will also remember Umar being then thrown out of the house amid rumours of him being saved in the voting. Well, he has finally confirmed our suspicion by speaking about his disappointment with the “unfair” eviction and how he had enough votes in his favour to be saved.
“Yes, I am feeling very disappointed. I got to know that votes were in my favour and still I was evicted so I felt really bad. I gave my 100% to the show. So, I think my eviction was unfair,” says Umar. He has also talked about how the same rules do not apply to everyone in the Bigg Boss house. He adds, “Honestly, while they kept saying I was aggressive no one ever warned me that I could be out. I think the tasks planned this season led to a lot of physical fights. Others have made the same mistakes but given I am not a TV face I had to bear the brunt.”
On His Profession Being Targeted In The House
Until Umar was in the house, there was hardly any Weekend Ka Vaar episode, where his profession was not dragged into the conversation and demeaned. In fact, even in his eviction episode, choreographer Geeta Kapoor made a very problematic comment on his profession and Umar ensured to give her a fitting reply right after his eviction.
He has again broached the topic now and has shown his disappointment with the cheap tactics that makers resorted to so as to bring his morale down. He shares, “Yes, my profession was really targeted on the show. I don’t know why but none of the other people’s professions- they were actors, singers, choreographers never anyone’s profession was targeted like mine. My profession was targeted to demoralize me but it never helped actually I did what I want to do and I was determined and motivated to do what I want.”
Well, we are kinda in awe of how Umar has said it all without mincing his words. Here’s hoping that we get to see more of him soon.
