Is there anything Twinkle Khanna can’t do? The former actress turned best-selling author, recently participated in the United Nation’s Women’s Entrepreneurship Summit, in New York City. She spoke in a panel titled, Sparking Confidence in Girls with Stars of Today, with columnist Veronica Dagher, singer Sara Bareilles and the 13-year-old entrepreneur Mikaila Ulmer.
At the event, Khanna asked young entrepreneurs in the crowd to trust their instincts – “Your instinct is your experiences, knowledge in your subconscious speaking to you.” In a highly competitive culture of focussing only on successes, she said, “We don’t talk about failure enough.”
Also a film producer, Khanna recently appeared on BBC News during her time in New York to shed light on issues pertaining to menstrual hygiene, and the tax being imposed on sanitary products in India. With the film Padman being slated for a release this coming January, we can’t wait to see what kind of exciting projects Khanna involves herself with next.
