The terrible coronavirus outbreak has affected lives, jobs and industries across the globe. Amidst the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, there have been several reports about couples postponing their wedding date or settling for simple civil ceremonies. And now there’s another such update from the telly world.
TV actors Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma were supposed to tie the knot on April 15 but had to postpone their grand wedding due to the unfortunate health crisis. While the wedding cancellation had left their fans upset… the couple shared a piece of good news earlier today. The couple had already registered their marriage about a month ago and managed to keep it a secret for so long!
The Devo Ke Dev Mahadev fame Puja took to her Instagram handle and posted a throwback picture of herself and hubby Kunal and wrote a long heartfelt post, informing everyone of their relationship status. “Today was supposed to be our wedding day but the situation is such that we have cancelled all our ceremonies although we had registered our marriage a month ago so we are officially married and together forever now”, she wrote.
As soon as she posted the picture, congratulatory messages started pouring in. From Vikaas Kalantri to Debina Bonnerjee, several actors wished the couple.
In the note, Puja also expressed her condolences to all the families who have lost their loved ones due to the coronavirus. She said that her heart goes out to all the people who are fighting for their lives.

As a noble gesture, the couple has decided to donate the money they were going to spend on their wedding to the people in need. Isn’t that wonderful?
For the uninitiated, Puja and Kunal met for the first time on the sets of TV series Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna in 2008 and have been together ever since. Nine years after dating each other, the couple got engaged in a grand ceremony on August 16, 2017.
“This is no time to celebrate but we will celebrate with our loved ones once the world becomes a happy place again”, signed off the newlywed.
