Yesterday, pictures of Rakhi Sawant and Adil Khan Durrani’s hush-hush wedding took the internet by storm. In the snaps, Rakhi Sawant and Adil were seen holding their marriage certificate. Later, Rakhi shared the photos on Instagram and wrote, “Finally, I’m happy, so excited, and got married. My love is forever unconditional for you, Adil.”
However, just a few hours after the pics dropped, Rakhi made a shocking revelation. The actress revealed that she has been married to Adil for seven months but was forced to keep it a secret. Read on to find out why:
In an interview with a media platform, Rakhi shared, “Yes, I got married to Adil in July last year after three months of knowing him. We had a nikah ceremony and a court marriage. Since he stopped me from disclosing it, I remained tightlipped for the past seven months. He felt that it would get difficult to find a suitor for his sister if people got to know about our marriage. According to him, tum Rakhi Sawant ke saath judoge toh tumne badnaami lee hai (When you associate yourself with Rakhi Sawant, you invite shame).”
She added, “A lot happened while I was away locked up inside the Bigg Boss Marathi 4 house recently. I will talk when the time is right. At this point, all I want is to save my marriage. I want the world to know that I am married to Adil. Main bahut pareshan hoon isliye logon ke saamne meri shaadi aana zaroori hai (I am very stressed and hence, people need to know about my wedding).” Rakhi left netizens guessing as to what she was implying. Some even speculated on the possibility of infidelity.
Rakhi Sawant On Her First Marriage
Rakhi was previously married to Ritesh Raj, with whom she appeared on Bigg Boss 15. In her recent interview, she also talked about Ritesh and called marrying him a “mistake.” Rakhi shared that she found out about his first wife after appearing on Bigg Boss. She also accepted that her marriage to Ritesh wasn’t legal because he hadn’t divorced his first wife.
