Bollywood stars are immensely loved by their fans. From clicking selfies with them, standing for hours in a queue just to see a glimpse of them on their birthdays to decorating the walls of their room with posters of their favourite celebs, fans are forever in awe. But there are times these awestruck fans overdo it while professing their admiration for a celebrity. Actors get mobbed, attacked and sometimes even threatened by their fans.
Recently, Shah Rukh Khan, who’s loved by fans worldwide, was mobbed by fans in China. The actor is currently in China to promote his film Zero which will be released there soon. He was attacked by an army of fans at the airport. Watch videos to know.

Here are other incidents when celebrities had unpleasant experiences with their fans.
1. Varun Dhawan
Varun is extremely popular for his good-boy vibes and well, of course, screen presence. Whenever he’s gone to colleges or conferences to promote his films, fans go crazy just to hug him or get clicked with him. Recently, a fan threatened to kill Varun’s girlfriend Natasha Dalal when the actor refused to meet her. A police complaint has been lodged against the fan who turned violent in a fit of rage.
2. Deepika Padukone
She’s undoubtedly one of the most loved actresses in Bollywood. Her fans go gaga every time she steps out. The actress is currently shooting for her upcoming film Chhapaak in the capital city of New Delhi. About two weeks ago, DPad visited a clothing store as a part of the film’s shoot. As soon as she arrived at the venue, she got mobbed by fans at Janpath but luckily, her bodyguards came to her rescue.
3. Khushi Kapoor
Khushi Kapoor, who hasn’t stepped into Bollywood yet, already has fans running around her for selfies every time she makes a public appearance. Recently, the star kid was spotted outside Bastian in Mumbai with her friends. She got very uncomfortable with fans trying to reach out to her to get attention. She quickly made her way to her car to escape from the mob.
4. Katrina Kaif
Katrina has amassed a huge fan following because of her exceptionally good looks and aura. Fans go berserk when she arrives at events or is spotted anywhere. The actress has been mobbed by her fans a couple of times. One time, after a promotional event for Tees Maar Khan, Katrina was mobbed by fans while getting out of the event. They were trying to touch her and Akshay Kumar had to come to her rescue. Back in 2009, the Bharat actress was stalked by a 20-year-old guy who tricked her bodyguards and entered her house twice just to meet her.
5. Hrithik Roshan
The man who looks like a Greek God, Hrithik Roshan has women drooling over him all the time. But there have been times when this admiration turned into an aggression. Back in 2009, a Russian fan named Anna was spotted loitering around Hrithik’s house and tried to force herself in. But his security guards denied her entry. She turned aggressive and Hrithik had to file a complaint against her.
6. Kareena Kapoor Khan
Bebo is supremely popular among fans of all ages. Her onscreen performances and off-screen appearances have made her fans adore her more and more. During promotions for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kareena was almost attacked by her ardent fans who wanted to get close to her. The situation was so bad that the Kareena could barely move. But, thankfully the security crew saved her from the situation.
7. Shahid Kapoor
An actor who started off with playing a chocolate boy in the movies has now proved his mettle through his power-packed performances in Haider, Udta Punjab and others. The actor has a huge fanbase. In 2012, Shahid filed a complaint against late actor Raj Kumar’s daughter, Vastavikta for stalking him for months. Reportedly, she followed him at odd hours and also claimed to be his wife. Another instance is when the actor was shooting in Edinburg, a female fan started stalking Shahid. She even tried to get a job at the hotel where he was staying to see him more often.
8. Sushmita Sen
The former Miss Universe has been a favourite of many because of her charismatic persona. Back in 2008, a Delhi based stockbroker sent the actress gifts and wedding accessories. These were followed by letters asking Sushmita to marry him. She was unfazed with his fandom but had to get him arrested eventually when he threatened to kill himself if she refused to marry him.
9. Kangana Ranaut
The actress has carved a niche for her by her breathtaking performances in Queen, Tanu Weds Manu, Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi among many others. She’s brave and fierce and her fans love her for her outspoken nature. Back in 2010, the Mental Hai Kya actress had a guy stalk her in and out of her gym and also send love letters to her. She had him sent to jail after he refused to mend his ways.
10. Dia Mirza
Dia Mirza may not have had a very successful career in Bollywood but her beauty has had many enamoured. In 2009, she filed a complaint against a fan who showed up at her house a day after her birthday with a ring and asked her to marry him.
