This Is How Deepika Padukone & Siddhant Chaturvedi Shot Their Steamy Scenes In Gehraiyaan & It Sounds Just Right

Gehraiyaan is one of the most-awaited films this year. Everything about the movie from the stellar star cast to the sizzling chemistry between Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi has us hooked. Speaking of the steamy scenes, the actress had earlier opened up about her experience and shared that shooting for them was challenging. She’d also credited her director, Shakun Batra, for creating a safe environment. “It is not something that we have never experienced or explored in Indian cinema before, in the way we have in this film,” she’d said.

And now, during a recent interview, Deepika spilled the beans about how having an intimacy director on the sets helped. She said, “The need for intimacy director has nothing to do with gender, but it is for the comfort of the actors. It’s about how can we show intimacy in a film that is about the modern-day relationship – where you’d be able to relate to the characters. Intimacy is just a part of the film, and to depict it correctly, we opted for an intimacy director.” That makes sense. We’re sure shooting steamy scenes must be difficult and getting an expert onboard sounds like the right way to go about it.

Earlier, while talking to a leading daily, the film’s intimacy director, Dar Gai, was all praises for Deepika and Siddhant. He’d said that he felt at home with them right after their first workshop together. “When you work with someone really professional and very passionate about (their work), you feel so grateful for the profession you are representing,” he’d said.

Well, TBH, we’re quite excited about watching the film in three days on Amazon Prime Video. We’re sure it’s going to be a great watch. Counting down days till Friday!
