Ever since Adipurush hit the theatres, the film has been dominating headlines for all the wrong reasons. Poor VFX, a truckload of factual errors and unnecessary modern twist in the epic—the 3-D magnum opus has failed terribly. Amidst all the bashing and downfall of the movie, an actor recently revealed that Prabhas wasn’t the first choice for Adipurush!
Indian actor, writer, and self-proclaimed film critic, Kamaal R. Khan recently made a shocking revelation that Kartik Aaryan was the first one to be approached for the role of ‘Raghav’ in Adipurush. Taking to his Twitter handle, Khan wrote, “I said in my review of film #Tanhaji that Om Raut doesn’t know the direction and it is proved with #Adipurush that I was 100% correct. I never lie for any film or any director or Actor. @TheAaryanKartik is lucky that he didn’t do #Adipurush!” Here, take a look:

For those who don’t know, Kartik Aaryan and Om Raut shook hands for an unnamed collaboration, back in 2020. While the director prioritised Adipurush and went ahead with its shoot, he promised his fans to resume working on Kartik’s action debut ASAP! Talking about the project, he added, “We have envisioned the film in a certain way and want to shoot it in a particular country. Since it is difficult to travel abroad due to the prevailing situation, we may have to tweak the script.”
When Kriti Said Prabhas Is The Perfect Choice For Adipurush!
Adipurush might have garnered a lot of negative reviews and fierce criticism, but it’s Prabhas’ cult fan following that has maintained the balance. His fans are leaving no stone unturned to support and praise the actor, and his co-star Kriti seems to agree. While talking about her first meeting with the Baahubali actor during one of her movie promotions, Kriti shared how nobody could have played ‘Raghav’ in the movie better than Prabhas. She said, “I had heard he was reserved, and initially he did come across as shy. But there wasn’t much ice to break. I just casually started talking about how my first film was a Telugu movie and how it’s tough to act in a language that I don’t know, and then he opened up and started talking. He is incredibly grounded, warm, and respectful. He has very expressive eyes and a calm demeanour, and I couldn’t imagine anyone else playing Raghav (his character in Adipurush).”
While this rendition of Ramayana might have failed to impress, B-town’s chocolate boy Kartik Aaryan sure wouldn’t have been the right choice. What do y’all think?
