She happened to be an outsider who met Bobby at a restaurant while both were there with their friends. But before we delve more into their love story, did you know Tanya comes from a multi-millionaire family?
Wondering why you haven’t heard much about Tanya? Well, there’s a reason for that! For one thing, she likes to stay away from the limelight and keep a low profile. But she caught everyone’s attention at Karan Deol and Drisha Acharya’s wedding where she made a stylish appearance. This only encouraged us to find out a little more about the diva. Turns out, Tanya is the daughter of the late Devendra Ahuja who was a multi-millionaire banker and a Managing Director of the 20th Century Finance Company. Before marrying Bobby, she used to live at her parental home located at the iconic Nariman Point. It was spread across a whopping 5,000 square feet of space.
Right after she married Bobby in 1996, Tanya came to know that her father was dating an air hostess who happened to be 20 years younger than him. Tanya’s mother and siblings, Vikram and Munisha, strongly opposed their relationship. Whereas, on the other hand, Tanya and Bobby supported Devendra. This resulted in her father disowning them and simultaneously declaring his shares in the name of Tanya. This made Tanya inherit her father’s property worth Rs 300 crores. He also helped Bobby by financing his films when nothing was working for the actor. Tanya holds a diploma in interior design, and she’s an interior and costume designer by profession.

Bobby made his debut with the movie Barsaat in 1995 and it made him a raging sensation. Following the success of the movie, Bobby also enjoyed a massive female fan following. But it was Tanya who stole his heart. Bobby was at a famous restaurant in Mumbai when he saw her for the first time. From calling her late in the night to taking her out on dates, he did everything to impress her. Eventually, Tanya fell for him and the couple tied the knot in 1996.
