Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma has been airing for over fifteen years and still, millions follow the show religiously. It’s almost as if the viewers have become a part of Gokuldham society. Sadly, the last few years haven’t been the best for TMKOC fans. While the viewers are eagerly waiting for Daya (Disha Vakani) to return, Taarak Mehta’s (Shailesh Lodha) exit from the show has caused quite a meltdown. But, we’ve got an exciting update that will cheer up every single TMKOC fan.
It has been nearly three months since the audience has seen Taarak Mehta on screen. But now the show’s producer has confirmed the character is all set to make a comeback! Yes, you heard it right. Sachin Shroff is going to replace Shailesh and we are looking forward to see how he adapts to the role of our favourite kavi of Gokuldham.
A close source spilled the beans about Sachin’s appearance on the show and said, “Sachin has also started shooting. With Shailesh, we had tried a lot to find a middle ground but he left the show. Now, because of this, viewers can’t be kept waiting. I had to bring someone on the show for them. I wish to God that even Sachin receives the same love from the audience.”
The makers have confirmed the rumours as well. “It is a journey of 15 years, it is obvious that ups and downs will keep on coming. After all, the audience is our priority. I don’t want to disappoint them. We have a team of good writers and directors, so hopefully, people will accept Sachin in the role of Taarak Mehta,” they shared in an official statement.
The makers have also started prepping the audience for the entry of the new Taarak Mehta. They recently shared a promo in which Taarak’s wife Anjali refuses to take part in the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities since she is missing her husband. However, Taarak is all set to make an entry in the filmiest manner by performing the Ganesh aarti. Check out the promo here:
