The long list of the Ambani family’s remarkable belongings keeps fascinating us all. From their palatial residences to dazzling jewels, everything screams extravagance. But amongst the array of their opulent treasure, it is Nita’s fleet of priced possessions that stand out the most. The socialite-cum-philanthropist owns some of the world’s most expensive items and that also includes an exquisite saree.
The world knows about Nita’s love for one-of-a-kind sarees. And her taste for all things grand reflects in her fashion choices. In 2015, Mrs Ambani attended Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani’s son’s wedding wearing a very unique pink and white saree. It was designed by Sivalingam, the director of Chennai Silks, and was named Vivah Pattu Saree. And guess what? It is reportedly the world’s most expensive saree that has a jaw-dropping price tag of *drumroll please* 40 lakhs.
What makes it so expensive you ask? The saree is encrusted with precious gems like ruby, emeralds, cat eye, pukhraj, real pearls, and other expensive stones. Furthermore, the stunning drape was made by 35 women artisans from Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, and weights almost eight kgs. Not just the saree, but even her blouse had some stunning and unique elements to it. The blouse features Lord Nathdwara at the back with beautiful colours and fine embroideries.
We love how Nita always goes for a classic drape no matter what the occasion. And so no wonder she owns one of the most expensive saree.
