My fellow long-haired beauties, this one is for you. I’ve had long hair for as long as I can remember. While my hair has always brought me compliments, maintaining it as well its overall health and colour can be challenging. With the onset of monsoon, I usually prepare myself for hairfall but this time, the aftereffects of rain in combination with a dose of antibiotics further worsened the condition of my hair.
I was leaving a hair trail wherever I went. No amount of oiling or serums were as helpful as I’d want them to be. I decided it was time to take matters into my own hands and tried to pick a hair spa that would help my cause.
Kérastase Densifique Ritual at Rossano Ferretti Salon, New Delhi

After having a chat with my therapist for the day about hairfall and my fears of hair thinning, we opted for the Kérastase Densifique Ritual. A hair spa designed especially for controlling hair fall by boosting follicular growth, the ritual takes care hair thinning and helps boost hair growth.
The Makings Of A Ritual
Now, don’t get me wrong, I love hair spas, I’ve really seen them help with frizz or shine, but hair fall is a more serious issue. I was quite vocal about my disbelief in this treatment making any significant change to my situation. The ritual started with the therapist washing my hair with Kérastase Densifique Bain Densite Shampoo. After this, he applied Kérastase Densifique Bain Densite onto the middle and low sections of my hair and washed it off.

Now came the most important part of the hair spa ritual: which is to apply the potent Densifique Serum. He divided my hair into four, eight and twelve parts and sprayed this serum onto my scalp, combing it through, from roots to tips. The treatment ended with a whiff of Kérastase Densifique Bain Densimorphose Foam.
Since the whole idea behind the hair spa treatment was to let the booster serum seep into my hair, I was asked not to wash my hair for a few days.

The Results
My hair looked shiny and frizz-free like they do after any hair spa. However, the effects started to show over the next few days. Be it combing or shampooing my hair, my hairfall count had significantly reduced. I was told my hair trail has also diminished and in about 30 days, I could see a significant increase in hair growth.

Other Things You Can Do To Stop Hairfall
While the hair spa really helped, here’s what I did.
- In an effort to cut down heat exposure, I stopped straightening my hair.
- Since the overall immunity of your body gets affected when I was on antibiotics, I took multivitamins for a month.
- To further boost hair growth, I also opted for biotin supplements.
