Tejasswi Prakash enjoys a cult following for her flawless acting. However, things are different when it comes to her style. The actress often fails to make a mark in the fashion department and her recent ensemble for the 7th Planet Filmfare Marathi Awards was no different!
The Naagin actress donned a coral banarasi silk lehenga with a matching choli, and a sea-green dupatta for the event. While Tejasswi’s smile stole the show, her outfit was a solid miss.
I mean what’s up with that kurti/blouse? The length is wrong. The cut is wrong. The neck is wrong. This is the most unflattering fit ever. The lace at the bottom of the lehenga only makes it worse by giving the lehenga a cheap look. Banarasi skirts are generally cut in kalis for a luxe touch which is missing here. Looks like the designer was trying to save some fabric with that gathered lehenga. The laces on her dupatta’s border aren’t helping either. Sorry, but the outfit is giving major Sarojini Nagar vibes!
The only saving grace here? Tejasswi’s gorgeous face. I love the intense kohl and her sleek bun!
All in all, her stylist did a bad job for a red-carpet event which is simply not fair. Tejasswi has the power to be the next big thing in Bollywood and deserves to be treated like TV royalty. Here’s hoping the stylists manage to score something that does full justice to this queen for her next look!
