It is only the 90th largest. Yes, you read that right. When it comes to owning the largest diamond in India, the Ambanis come close. We hear Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani gifted their bahu Shloka Mehta a necklace featuring the world’s largest internally perfect diamond. However, reports suggest that the necklace doesn’t exist anymore. But we do know about one of the largest diamonds in the world that is definitely in India and owned by a Bollywood actress!
Tamannaah Bhatia is the proud owner of the world’s fifth-largest diamond, which is carefully affixed to a ring. The diamond’s size and weight make it a valuable treasure. According to several sources, it is worth Rs 2 crores! The diamond is impeccably cut which results in rich lustre and texture. Although attached to a ring, it is big enough to be used as a paperweight!
While Tamannaah is a proud owner of this expensive rock, she did not actually purchase it. The actress was gifted this prized possession by Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana Kamineni, after the latter got impressed by Tamannaah’s performance in the superhit Telugu film, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. The film co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Vijay Sethupathy, Nayanthara, and Niharika in pivotal roles along with Tamannaah, was produced by Ram Charan and his wife under the Konidela production company.
Upasana was thrilled by the film’s great success and hence, gifted Tamannaah this beautiful diamond ring. Upasana even tweeted a photo of the actress flaunting the massive gemstone and wrote, “A gift for the super Tamannaah from Mrs. Producer. Missing you already. Catch up soon.”
Tamannaah’s Other Expensive Jewellery
Besides the diamond ring, Tamannaah is also a proud owner of some of the most exquisite pieces of jewellery. As per reports, she also owns a Pink Star ring featuring a dazzling stone that was mined in 1999 by De Beers. It weighs 59.60 carats! The actress owns a few more huge diamonds in the world, including The Oppenheimer Blue Diamond Ring, The Graff Pink, and The Cullinan Dream.
