The Indian film industry has finally started pushing the envelope when it comes to depicting intimacy on-screen. Filmmakers and actors are open to the idea and happy to explore the different facets of sensuality. However, there are still some who avoid doing such scenes. Take, for instance, Tamannaah Bhatia. For 18 long years, she had a strict no-kissing policy. But guess what? The actress has finally stepped out of her comfort zone and has broken the clause in Lust Stories 2! Netflix India is returning with the second season of its hit anthology film Lust Stories. Tamannaah will be starring in the show and recently revealed that she broke her ‘no-kissing’ policy for the film. She shared, “I really wanted to work with Sujoy and I’m really happy that he thought of me for this part especially because I have done literally no intimacy in my career or very little intimacy in my career. I was that audience that would get awkward and I was that audience that was like ‘main ye kabhi nahi karungi, main kabhi nahi kiss karungi on screen (I will never do this, I will never kiss onscreen).’ I was that person, for me, it was an evolution to get out of that framework.”
Tamannah further added, “Because India is huge and there are so many parts of India that still needs to evolve. There is a lot of evolution that has happened already, thanks to even internet and social media, everyone has information on their fingertips but I do feel like- because everyone’s consuming so much content-I felt like as an actor, I don’t want this to be something that is holding me back. And this was purely a creative endeavour. Abhi 18 saal ke baad I am not trying to be famous, you know. Like that’s not my endeavour or driving force.”
When Tamannaah Made Her Relationship Official
Recently, the Baahubali actress took the internet by storm after she made her relationship with Vijay Varma official. In a recent interview, Tamannaah shared, “He (Vijay Varma) is someone with who I bonded very organically. He is someone who really came to me with all his guard down, then it became really easy for me to let all my guard down. With high-achieving women, we have this one problem. we think we need to do hard work for everything. You don’t have to walk on eggshells. To just be yourself. It is friendship that is such a crucial part of someone you can laugh with. Someone you can laugh with about anything like the loudest volume, where you sound like different…animals. He is a person whom I care about deeply. He is my happy place.“
