Sydney Sweeney got everybody’s attention at the GQ Awards owing to her gorgeous red carpet look. The Euphoria star wore makeup inspired by her character Cassie in the popular TV show but this time her look marks a new awakening. The White Lotus star had an almost futuristic aesthetic as she wore a gorgeous cut-out black gown and an ornamental silver breastplate with makeup that reflected the details of her outfit. Her makeup was metallic with a striking black and silver eye makeup look and blushing skin. That silver eyeliner has already got people asking what product she used, and our bets are on it being a face lace decal eyeliner sticker. If you want to know more about her hair and makeup look because you absolutely need it for yourself, read on!
Sydney Sweeney’s Metallic Silver Makeup At The GQ Awards
Step 1: Skin Check
Prep your skin for makeup by following the best skincare steps. Cleanse your skin with a face wash and then use a damp microfibre face pad to gently exfoliate your skin and lips. Pat your skin dry and apply toner, serum, and moisturiser. Once your skincare is absorbed, use a makeup primer on your skin and then blend on a skincare-infused foundation. Use concealer on areas that require extra coverage. Set your base with a mist.
Step 2: Light Arches
Use extremely light eyebrow products to keep your brows softly defined and well groomed. Fill in your brows with a brow pencil and blend with a spoolie. Swipe on a light-tinted brow gel or brow mascara.
Step 3: Ornamental Eyeliner
Lay down a blushing base for your lids by blending on a peachy matte eyeshadow. Use a set of eyeliner stickers on your lids to get that ornamental metallic eyeliner look and you only have to apply kajal to both your lash lines to make the stickers look seamless. If stickers aren’t your thing, try a metallic silver eyeliner in a bold wing form on your upper lash lines followed by a slim black winged liner application. Do not forget to swipe on mascara.
Step 4: Bouncy Blush
The secret to glowing blushed skin is really a gel-based blush tint. But first, use a shimmery bronzer on your hairline, jawline, and cheekbones for warmth. Now, swipe on a perky orange-toned gel blush tint and blend with your fingers. Dab a highlighter on the high points of your face.
Step 5: Pretty In Pink
Since your lips have already been exfoliated with the microfibre face pad, all you have to do for lip care is keep them moisturised with a lip serum or balm. Define your lip shape with a pink lip liner and then swipe on a nude pink lipstick.
Sydney Sweeney’s Easy Chic Bun Hairstyle
We love a good and easy hairstyle that exudes a whole lotta style. Sydney’s hair bun at the GQ Awards 2022 was exactly that. To recreate this simple yet chic hairstyle, begin by washing your hair with a nourishing shampoo and conditioner. Apply serum to damp hair, detangle with a wet comb, and then blow dry smooth. Leave out a section of hair at the front to frame your face and tie the rest of your hair in a high ponytail. Place a hair doughnut on the base of the ponytail and then begin wrapping the length of the ponytail around the doughnut to create a voluminous bun. Secure the bun with bobby pins at the base. Mix a pea-sized amount of hair gel and serum and apply it to the front section. Style this section in a side parting.
Follow these steps and you too can ape the gorgeous Sydney Sweeney’s red carpet style.
