When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. No one has captured the spirit of this phrase better than—Sushmita Sen. The actress had a tough few weeks, following a heart scare but she has bounced back and how. Recently, Sush was awarded the ‘Style With Substance’ title at an event. While she is every bit deserving of the award, it was her speech that will forever live in my head rent-free.
In her acceptance speech, Sushmita was humble, warm and most of all, so wholesome. She said, “To all the winners tonight, you are spectacular people. More than style., I think what matters is the substance. What are you made of? I often find that people think that there’s a black book for fashion. But I think what it takes is an individual your uniqueness. “

This has been a tough year for Sushmita. In April the former Miss Universe revealed that she suffered a heart attack. It all happened while the actress was in Jaipur, Rajasthan, for the shoot of the third season of her web series, Aarya.
Sushmita shared her ordeal in an Instagram post. She wrote, “A few days back…Angioplasty done…stent in place…and most importantly, my cardiologist reconfirmed ‘I do have a big heart’ Lots of people to thank for their timely aid & constructive action…will do so in another post! This post is just to keep you (my well wishers & loved ones) informed of the good news …that all is well & I am ready for some life again!!! ” Here’s all that Sushmita shared on the ‘Gram:
