7 Stress-Busting Beauty Rituals We All Need To Indulge In RN

We’re all feeling a little stressed lately. Every time we read the newspaper, scroll through our phones, talk to our families, we’re constantly reminded of the deadly pandemic. Even if you’re safe at home, at some point in time, you worry about the people out there who are putting their lives on the line for the country. I agree it’s a mess out there, but what can you do about it? No good can come out of you stressing out. As preachy as this may sound, you must stay calm during these trying times. Find ways to cope up with your stress, even if it means taking the beauty route.

7 Stress-Busting Beauty Products We All Need In Our Lives RN

Making yourself a priority is the first step of self-care.

Fresh As A Daisy

The smell is the most powerful sense in the human body. If you surround yourself with things that smell wonderful and fresh, you will feel happier and calmer too! A hot shower and a delicious-smelling body wash are two things that will help you feel instantly relaxed.

Clouded In Aroma

Indulging in a little aromatherapy is one way to beat the stress. A cool hack I learned over the weekend is if you have a stuffy or runny nose, add 6-7 drops of eucalyptus oil into the diffuser and leave the machine on for 3-4 hours. You’ll feel better in the morning. If you don’t have a tea-light or an electric diffuser, you could always light up some scented candles to set the mood.

The Power of Massages

Do you know what will help you feel relaxed and calm? A good hot oil body massage. Use whatever oil you have at hand, add some essential oils to it if you want and start your pamper sesh. The best time to do this is when your skin is damp, fresh out of the shower. A good body massage actually targets stress and helps to reduce mental fatigue and sleeplessness and makes your skin baby soft!

Beauty Rest Is A Priority

Having trouble sleeping? Here’s where aromatherapy comes to the rescue. A pillow mist is something you can make at home. Think of it as sleepy time perfume, for your bed linen. It is soothing, calming and healing and will get you the best quality of sleep. All you need to do is spritz a little onto your pillowcase, your blanket or on your PJ’s.

Slap On A Sheet Mask

Sheet masks are more fun when they have bubbles inside of them! Anytime your skin looks dull and tired, put on a sheet mask – your skin will thank you for it.

Use That Gua Sha

Have you used a Gua Sha before? If you haven’t, now is the time to learn all about it. It helps to promote blood circulation and releases tension in the facial muscles that cause fine lines. It’ll be the best de-stress buddy you could ever ask for! Even if you don’t have a Gua Sha tool, try to give your face a relaxing massage every day, it’ll tone the muscles on your face and make your skin glow!

Show Your Under Eye Area Some Love

When we’re stressed and tired, our under-eye region takes a hit first. That’s ‘Coz skin is the thinnest in the undereye area. Take a break from your using your laptop and phone by putting on these amazing eye patches!

Already feeling happy as a clam, right?
