Sunshine and meadows mark the beginning of springtime and we are all about that dreamy nature magic. If you are all about welcoming brighter skies and fields of flowers, then you should get with the trend and wear your heart on your sleeve (or on your visage). Through makeup, you can transition to springtime with a riot of colour. We’re talking flower-inspired makeup looks that are cute and refreshing and also in trend thanks to the resurgence of ’60s and ’70s-themed beauty looks. Take a look at these awesome makeup ideas that embody the spirit of spring.

Flower Power Makeup Ideas For Spring 2023

Mystery Machine

Inspired by Scooby Doo’s iconic van, this makeup look is groovy AF. The eye makeup features a green base with multi-coloured flowers all across. The flowers can be easily created by dipping the other end of your brush in eyeliner pigment and then dotting on circles in clusters of five to form the shape. Then a final dot at the centre with an opposing colour will complete your pretty flower art. Note how winged eyeliner is used to define the eye shape and an aqua blue is used in the water lines.

Orchid Bloom

If you want to keep things simple yet still harness the prettiness of flowers, pick your favourite floral colour and match it with green to get the desired effect. In this case, a lavender hue is used on the lids and green on the lower lash line. The fox eyeliner style is then used to define the eye shape.

Floral Sun

Elevate your cut-crease eye makeup with some flower power. Create an ombre effect above the crease line and create your floral art in that space for a quirky-cool look.

Pastel Mint

Play with pastel hues to give an illusion of flower fields through your makeup. Apply a minty hue on the inner corners and extend it above your crease leaving the lid space empty. Use the same hue on the outer corners as well by beginning application from your lower lash lines. Now, fill in the empty lid space and the area above the crease with pink eyeshadow.

Ice Queen

Lay down a blue eyeshadow base and create flower art with white eyeliner for an icy take on spring makeup. As you can see, it looks utterly gorgeous.

Cheeky Choice

As you accentuate the shape of your eyes with black and white fox eyeliner, disperse tiny flowers across your cheeks for a fun take on faux freckles. Make sure to wear blush underneath for an even radiant glow. You can also make the flower art bigger around your eyebrows if you want to make a bolder statement.

Flower Row

Draw a line with concealer way above your crease and then dot on flowers to create this uber chic flower eye makeup look. Once done, you can use a Q-tip to clean up and blend the concealer around the flowers. Don’t forget to define your upper lash lines with black liner and use an eyeshadow that matches the colours of your flowers on the lower lash lines.
