Aaand, the day is finally here. Celeb insta posts have got us into a breathless frenzy over – Sonam ki shaadi! After a rocking mehendi and sangeet ceremony, it’s time for Anand Ahuja and Sonam Kapoor to tie the knot and become Mr and Mrs for life, today!
The Anand Karaj (wedding according to Sikh rituals) is taking place at the luxury villa Rockdale in Bandra right now! And we have for you the bride’s first look! Are you ready to see Sonam, the bride? Here:
Doesn’t she look oh-so-gorgeous! Sonam has always been known for her unique and impeccable fashion sense. And even with her bridal look, she proved why she is Bollywood’s favourite fashion muse. The true-blue Punjabi bride chose a traditional red Anuradha Vakil lehenga for her day wedding, she paired it with antique-looking royal jewellery comprising of a choker, a long necklace, layered mathapatti, kangan and jhumkas. Her beautiful red chooda and golden kaliras are just the perfect finishing touch to her bridal look.
Her makeup artist, Namrata Soni has done a great job, keeping her makeup subtle and summery keeping in mind that the wedding is a day event. Being such a fashion icon all these years and a favourite muse for many designers, Sonam Kapoor really hasn’t let down her fans in her bridal avatar! So prettty!
And oh, let’s not give away all our attention to the bride only. Save some of those delightful gasps for the dashing groom, Anand Ahuja.
He opted for a beige-gold sherwani by Raghavendra Rathore with a golden and white pagdi complete with a bejewelled kalgi. The layered necklace made of red stones does not only add a royal charm to his look, but also helps him coordinate his look with his beautiful bride.
