On July 16, Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz overcame seven-time winner Novak Djokovic in a remarkable and dramatic match to win his first Wimbledon title. Several high-profile public figures, including Catherine, Princess of Wales, attended the memorable match live. While the stadium was packed with Hollywood’s brightest stars, seeing a familiar face in the crowd warmed our hearts. Sonam Kapoor also attended the match with her husband Anand Ahuja and damn, did she get courtside fashion right!
As we are all aware that every facet of Wimbledon is unapologetically British. So, when it comes to outfits, nothing screams British louder than wearing Burberry! For the event, Sonam showcased her impeccable fashion sense (as usual) in a stunning Burberry outfit curated by her sister, Rhea Kapoor. She wore a green-toned checked print trench coat paired with matching tights and black high heels.
The super chic ensemble was from the brand’s Spring 2024 Collection, designed by Daniel Lee. The collection focuses on quintessential British wardrobe archetypes, with fine tailoring that emphasises the body’s proportions and stunning British themes that pay respect to the enchantment of the great British outdoors. As a result, Sonam’s stylist and sister, Rhea, must have given this outfit a lot of thought before choosing it for her sister’s appearance at Wimbledon.
Rhea made sure Sonam was dripping in Burberry from head-to-toe! The baggy trenchcoat would’ve been plain boring without the right accessories. Hence, it was completed with a gorgeous black handbag, black sunglasses, and black pointed-toe heels – all from the British luxury fashion house! For the jewellery, Sonam kept it simple with dainty gold hoops from the British jewellery brand, Otiumberg.
While the rest of the world is obsessed with the gripping match at Wimbledon, fashionistas like us are infatuated with Sonam Kapoor‘s courtside look. A 10/10 from us for sure!
