Smriti Irani’s life journey has been nothing less than a Bollywood film. She has been a Minister in the Union Cabinet of India since May 2014, but before that, she was an adarsh telly bahu. And before she was an adarsh telly bahu, Smriti was the IT girl in the modelling industry. One woman, so many roles!

If you scroll through Smriti’s Instagram, you will notice that she is proud of all her achievements in the entertainment biz. From her modelling photoshoots to her shows, there is nothing she doesn’t talk about. In an old interview, Smriti shared that she started earning after the 10th standard. But she had bigger plans! The politician broke free of the social norms and decided to try her luck in the glamour world.
While Smriti didn’t win Miss India, she soon made her television debut with Ekta Kapoor’s Kyunkii…Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in 2001. Even today for most people she is Tulsi Virani first, then Smriti Irani.
After a bunch of successful shows, Smriti made her way to politics. Today, she is one of the most well-known faces in the Indian government.
