If you thought Kiara and Sid’s reception in Mumbai celebrated their days-old marriage, you’re wrong. The night was, evidently, dedicated to sleek, slick-back buns and scrunchies. Because I noticed every B-Town diva sporting THE ‘do.
Did the gals discuss their looks beforehand? Were buns part of the theme? I’m not sure but the hairstyle deserves a story of its own. So I’m writing it. Read on to see all the celebrity bun hairstyles from the star-studded night.
The Bride Did It First
While Kiara’s pictures aren’t out yet, the lady of the night (read: knight) sported an elegant, slick-back ‘do. Everyone followed the bride’s lead. And instead of her usual second-skin-like, no-makeup-makeup finish, Kiara went in with cat-eye flicks, smokey eyes and shimmery lip gloss too.
Kriti Understood The Assignment
Kriti Sanon’s not one to say no to buns; but she ditched the face-framing locks for a sleek, neat ‘do. The actress’ glamm was dewy and soft — and sultry around the eyes. Didn’t I call it? Kohl-rimmed eyes are back.
Bebo Got The Memo Too
Even Kareena styled her hair into a bun. But knowing Bebo, this isn’t much of a surprise. Kapoor is always sweeping her waves back into a stylish, chic updo. And I’m here for it. But she doesn’t usually opt for a glazed, glossy look like she did at the reception. This reminded me of her Poo era.
Bhumi Managed To Stay On Theme
Like Sanon, Bhumi sported a chic, sleek ‘do; but she wore the bun higher on the head. This hairstyle is not off-brand for Pednekar. Scroll through her feed, and you’ll notice that she’s worn it before. She went a little heavy on the eyes. I love an on-trend diva with her reverse cat-eye trend.
Genelia Spruced It Up Just A Lil
Genelia put a spin on the regular bun. Instead of tucking the ends, she fanned her leftover flicks out. And, yes, the wings on the eyes stole the show!
This is the perfect example of ‘they understood the assignment’. Even if it was unplanned.
