Tara Sutaria has managed to keep a low profile despite being one of the most sought-after actresses. Even off-screen, she’s one of the most put-together stars with not a strand of hair out of place and makeup always on point. The key to this is how well Tara cares for her skin.
The actress has spoken about keeping her skincare simple in many interviews. A basic CTM and a DIY face pack passed down by her grandma, are Tara’s go-to picks for her skin. But there are also skincare blunders she’s made when she was younger, that are absolute no-nos for her now.
Tara Sutaria’s Skincare No-Nos
In an interview, the bright-eyed leading lady of Tadap talked about her skincare no-nos. “When I was younger, I used to think that when you burst a pimple it would actually make it go away,” Tara told NDTV. This, she realised was completely wrong. And while there are multiple safer ways to reduce the swelling and pain of the pimple, the actress now believes, “It’s best to let it be and take its natural course.”
Adding to this, she also mentioned that leaving pillowcases unchanged for too long and sleeping in makeup are the biggest blunders you could make when it comes to your skin.
Manage Your Pimples With These Products Instead
Salicylic acid, a beta hydroxy acid (BHA), is best known for reducing the appearance of pimples and clearing out the skin. It is a mild exfoliator and helps unclog the pores as well. Here are some Ssalicylic acid-infused products that will help reduce pimples.
The COSRX Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser is mild and perfect for every skin type. Use it both in the AM and PM for acne-prone skin and you’ll see the results for yourself over time!
The Acne Squad Breakout Terminator Serum isn’t as harsh as it sounds! Formulated with Salicylic Acid, this serum can be applied on acne-prone skin after cleaning it well. It helps manage the production of excess oil without irritating the skin further – trust me, it’s a saviour!
And if you want to get rid of stubborn pimples overnight, the Gush Dart Its’ Hydrocolloid Pimple Patches is the perfect product. Just like a stick-on, this is so easy to use and actually flattens acne in a few hours! It also helps in preventing picking the pimples like Tara Sutaria and I did when we were younger.
To Remove Your Makeup Before Hitting The Pillow
Clinique’s Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm takes off every bit of makeup (yes, even waterproof makeup), without you having to tug and rub your skin too hard.
And if you’re too lazy to double cleanse, take some micellar water like the Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Cleansing Water in a cotton pad and wipe off your face.
Too drunk to reach for the micellar water, wet wipes will save you! The Simple Kind To Skin Micellar Cleansing Wipes is even infused with micellar water, to save your skin when all you can think of is sleep.
Like Tara, I too have left these habits in the past – let’s hope that continues!
