Shraddha Kapoor Likes Simple Things In Life, Here’s Proof

Shraddha Kapoor is one of the most relatable B-Town actors; so much so that you almost feel like you know her. No wonder she’s loved by so many of us. But there’s something else that adds to her relatability, and it makes so much sense.

It’s her approach to skincare. Just like her, it’s simple yet powerful. And I found one particular DIY concoction of hers that truly lives up to this philosophy. It’s quick. It’s easy to prepare. And it works. You’ve got to check it out for yourself.

What Is Shraddha’s 2-Ingredient Mask?

Kapoor simply mixes some besan with an oil (of her choice), and that’s that; it seems like coconut, jojoba, and rosehip oils are some of her favourite ones to add to the mix. She applies it to the face and gently scrubs it in. That’s it. You’ve now learned one of the secrets to Kapoor’s glowing, radiant skin.

Why Is She Such A Fan Of It?

Let’s talk about besan first. Besan excels at exfoliating the skin. It’s this ability that allows it to reduce tanning and pigmentation, fade scars, and enhance your glow all at the same time.

It even contains zinc to counter acne by fighting the infections that trigger it. But that’s not it. It controls the production of sebum in the skin. This reduces the occurrence of flare-ups.

But it can also hydrate the skin inside-out depending on what it’s mixed with. Besan, mixed with malai (yoghurt cream), for instance, can treat dryness and dullness. It contains a humectant that attracts and infuses the skin with bouts of moisture. There’s no skin type that cannot benefit from besan.

Let’s move on to the oils. Coconut Oil is extremely moisturising. It forms a protective layer over your skin that prevents loss of moisture and even repairs the skin barrier by smoothening things over and filling any cracks. Jojoba Oil, too, is moisturising; but unlike coconut, it’s non-comedogenic. This is perfect for anyone with oily, acne-prone skin.

Rosehip Oil is ideal for anyone who wants to diminish the visibility of pigmentation, scars, and lines. This is because it contains antioxidants and fatty acids that regenerate cells and repair tissues effectively. It’s also rich in Vitamin C; so it adds radiance to your skin over time.

How Do You DIY It?

You can mix two tablespoons of besan with one tablespoon of either oil as well as a little water to achieve a smooth, paste-like consistency. Just layer it onto your face for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water. Repeat this once or twice a week, and you’ll see results over time.

See? Simple yet effective. That’s my new beauty mantra thanks to Shraddha.
