Punjabi kudi Shehnaaz Gill was one of the most popular contestants in Bigg Boss 13 and her childlike demeanour stole our hearts. Shehnaaz has come a long way after her BB stint. The actress is now focusing on being the best version of herself and we are here for it. But as they say, kuch to log kahenge, logo ka to kaam hai kehena.
While her fans can never get enough of her bubbly personality, there are a few who don’t find it appealing. Shehnaaz was recently trolled for her acting skills and a brief role in her debut movie Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Now, Shehnaaz has finally opened up about the same in an interview with a leading daily.
In the interview, she said that she has to work hard on herself as the industry is not that open to everyone. She shared, “Main yeh bolna chahti hoon ki industry open nahi hoti, open karni padti hai. You have to work on yourself apne aap ko change karke. Mere liye kuch bhi open nahi hai, main jo kar rahi hoon, apni mehnat se kar rahi hoon. (I want to say that the industry doesn’t open up itself, you have to open it. You have to work on yourself to change yourself. Nothing is open for me, whatever I am doing, I am doing it all with my hard work).”
The actress further added, “I have always been inspired by myself. Main khud se hi roz inspire hoti hoon. I genuinely feel that if you want to grow in life then you have to be open to change and work on yourself. Do it day by day, take your time, but introduce that change in yourself because it is important. If you present yourself the way you are and give everything new to your audience, then they will get bored. Hum public figure hain and if we don’t offer variety to the audience, they will get bored of us.”
Talking about the backlash she faced for her acting in the movie, she promisingly said, “I have been going to workshops. Aur jaise aapko farak meri styling mein aaj dikh raha hai, meri acting mein bhi zaroor dikhai dega bahut jald. (I have been going to workshops. And the kind of difference you can see in my styling today, you’ll soon see it in my acting for sure).”
Well, Shehaaz has definitely worked on herself in such a short span of time. Here’s hoping she doesn’t let these trolls affect her. You do you girl!
