Over the last few years, we have seen Shehnaaz Gill bloom into the new big thing in Bollywood and we are so proud of her journey. Unfortunately, with great fame comes social media trolling. Just a month ago, Shehnaaz was slammed for the most bizarre reason—for hugging Salman Khan at an Eid party.
This camaraderie between Salman and Shehnaaz became a talking point on social media and netizens trolled the two for being friendly. Recently, Sana opened up on the troll attack in an interview and shared, “Being popular on social media and having a huge fan base means you get a lot of love. But it also means a lot of trolling. That is a reality that all celebrities must come to terms with. But everything has a positive and a negative side, it is up to you what you want to concentrate on. Main sirf positives pe hi dhyaan dena chahti hoon. Jitna pyaar log mujhe dete hai, woh bahot hai baki saari negativity ko overshadow karne ke liye (I just want to focus on the positives. The love people give me, that is enough to overshadow the negativity).”
The Honsla Rakh actress added, “So why should I look at the negative side of it? Thik hai, social media hai hi aisa medium, par hum toh uske acche traits pe concentrate kar sakte hai (social media is a medium that has a negative side, but we can focus on the good traits).”
NGL, we are impressed with how calm Shehnaaz has been through it all. While it is almost impossible to stay away from negativity on social media, one can always change their POV. That’s exactly what Sana is doing!
In the past few months, we have seen Shehnaaz working hard to establish herself in tinsel town. So dear trolls, instead of putting others down, perhaps you should focus on your own lives instead.
