Move over simple black kajal, colourful kajal is a hit in Bollywood now. Shanaya Kapoor was the latest actress to sport a teal-coloured kajal with specs of glitter. And she isn’t the only one to give the trend a thumbs up.
Here’s every time Bollywood stars chose to experiment with coloured kajal.
Kriti Sanon’s Electric Blue Kajal
Kriti Sanon is always experimenting with her eye makeup. This electrifying blue kajal applied on her lower lash lines is one of my favourites.
To recreate her look I’m using the Amag Beauty ‘blip’ Keep It Kohl! in 702 Starry Blue.
Sonakshi Sinha’s Dual Toned Purple Makeup
Sonakshi Sinha chose not one, but two coloured kajal pencils in purple and violet. She applied one shade on the top and the other on the bottom for a monochromatic look.
The Sephora Collection 12H Colorful Contour Eye Pencil (Waterproof) – 55 Purple Illusion (Matte) helps achieve the prettiest purple hues on my lash lines.
Bhumi Pednekar’s Forest Green Kajal
The Govinda Naam Mera star opted for a shimmery green kajal on her lower lash lines to match with her halter neck top, giving a fresh spin to monochrome makeup.
The Manish Malhotra Glitter Eyeliner – Jade Forest is the perfect green kajal to replicate Bhumi’s look.
Sara Ali Khan’s Red Kajal
Sara Ali Khan applied the kajal in the reverse cat eyeliner style to match with her bold red ethnic outfit. I love how she blended it outward so it didn’t look too jarring.
My favourite red kajal that doesn’t smudge or budge is the BarryM Hi Vis Neon Bold Waterproof Eyeliner 1.2 g – False Alarm.
Shanaya Kapoor’s Teal Glitter Kajal
I can’t take my eyes off of Shanaya’s glittery teal kajal. She smudged it along her lower lash lines after tightlining her eyes with the classic black kajal. A double dose of the product is what it took to achieve this look!
The Lakme Absolute Explore Eye Pencil – Vibrant Azure is my favourite one to recreate her look.
I am all for this trend and plan on experimenting with a new shade when I step out next.
