Malaika Arora is one iconic celeb who never seems to age. Her skincare secrets are something I will always seek out because it’s unbelievable how youthful she looks even at 49 years old.
So when she revealed her quick and easy skin prep before getting her hair and makeup done for a shoot, I obviously took note. And the best part about it is Malaika displayed how she uses a therapeutic face tool to get camera ready. Read on to find out more.
What Is Malaika Arora’s Pre-Shoot Skincare Routine?
Malaika Arora’s pre-shoot skin prep is all about moisturising and massaging her skin with the help of creams and a face massage tool. In her short video tutorial, she began by spritzing her face with a skincare mist and then she applied a cream to her under-eye area. After this, Malaika used a rose quartz face roller to massage the area. She then proceeded to apply a moisturiser on her face and neck and then went over her face with the same face roller again.
Benefits Of Malaika Arora’s Pre-Shoot Skin Prep
Massaging the face after moisturising helps depuff the skin and it also helps drain out toxins from the face. This face massage routine also helps train the facial muscles to make them more firm, giving an overall sculpted look. Malaika uses this technique to help boost blood circulation too so that her skin looks more youthful and require less makeup.
How To Follow Malaika Arora’s Pre-Shoot Skin Routine
Step 1: Hydrate your skin with a face mist. Face mists are versatile skin products that can be used to tone the skin or simply refresh it anytime during the day.
One of my go-to face mists to hydrate and soothe my skin is the Pilgrim White Lotus Natural Face Mist & Toner.
Step 2: Apply an under-eye treatment cream. This will offer targeted moisture to the area to prevent dark circles and fine lines. It is also great for anyone with combination skin as the skin under the eyes tends to be more dry than other areas of the face.
The BiE Eyefinity – All-in-one Under Eye Gel is a great choice to begin with.
Step 3: Massage the under-eye area with a jade roller. Malaika uses a rose quartz roller which is another semiprecious stone just like jade, and it too has soothing properties that are beneficial for the skin.
One of the best rose quartz rollers in the market right now is the Le Marbelle Rose Quartz Roller.
Step 4: Moisturise and massage once again, but this time on your entire face and neck. Apply a moisturiser that best suits your skin type on your face and neck. After that, use the same facial roller in upwards motions while holding your skin taut. Go over all the contours of your face just like Malaika.
One of the best moisturisers for the monsoon months is the MyGlamm YOUTHfull Hydrating Moisturising Gel.
Step 5: Don’t forget your lips. Malaika massages a lip treatment mask on her lips to keep them plump and moisturised. The exact balm she used is the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask Berry and it’s a cult-favourite product that even I’m a fan of.
I found Malaika Arora’s pre-shoot skin routine to be absolutely refreshing and therapeutic. Try it out yourself to see the results.
